Holy Friday can be a beautiful time to gather everyone (we do it between Royal Hours and the Descent from the Cross) for deep conversation — and hosting an all-ages retreat encourages families to come to church together, on this most solemn and holy day.
The Anastasis retreat utilizes the graphic novel, The Anastasis: the Harrowing of Hades for older students, and a coloring book version for younger students. The retreat focuses on Christ’s descent into Hell, bringing it to life. Who did He find in Hades? What did He do there?
